A short story from the author of Cupcakes at Carrington’s – and a prequel to Christmas at Carrington’s!
Georgie Hart can’t believe her luck. It looks like Tom, the hunky boss of Carrington’s Department Store, in the picture-postcard town of Mulberry-on-Sea, is as hot for her as she is for him. After a romantic Italian get-together leaves her on Cloud Nine, Georgie is brought back down to earth with a bump when she has to get back behind the counter of the Luxury Handbags section.
But when Georgie is left open-mouthed by a revelation from one of her well-heeled customers, it seems like Tom hasn’t been entirely honest with her. Has Georgie done her usual trick of adding two and two together to make five?
Ever wondered what happened when Georgie first got together with Mr Carrington himself? This deliciously funny short story is perfect for anyone who loved Cupcakes at Carrington’s, and for those discovering the lovable Georgie Hart for the first time. The story also features an exclusive peek at the next book, Christmas at Carrington’s.

All seems to be going well until a mysterious customer comes in to Georgie's Luxury Handbags department and announces something that makes Georgie's heart miss a beat or three...

I loved Cupcakes at Carrington's and it was a real treat to go back to Mulberry-on-sea for a snippet of the latest goings on.
We resume not long after we left off with Georgie back at Carrington's after attending best friend, Sam's wedding in Italy, with gorgeous (and super rich) Tom Carrington on her arm.
Georgie is missing Tom, who stayed in Italy to deal with some family business, and is left wondering where exactly their relationship stands, if there is a relationship at all, and he isn't being forthcoming in letting her know!

Me and Mr. Carrington is a fabulous short story that I got through in a couple of hours as I couldn't put it down.
As usual, Brown's writing style is funny, warm and has a personal touch that feels like you're sat talking to a friend.
I loved the get back to the old characters from Carrington's, and the new ones did a fantastic job of bringing new life to the story, they were extremely well developed and a perfect addition!
There is a taster of Christmas at Carrington's after the short story has ended which leave appetites whetted for more!
